How does it work?
- As part of SH Online Reward you can choose to donate to your favourite charity via
the Charity Account;, a more flexible way to donate.
- The Charity Account is the most convenient and tax efficient way to give. It works
in a similar way to a current account, being credited with funds that you set aside
each month to give to your favourite causes.
- When you open your account, you will receive a Charity Card and 'chequebook'. You
then donate to the charity or charities of your choice by setting up a monthly direct
debit from your Charity Account or by writing a one-off cheque.
Read before you buy
- Choose the regular monthly amount you wish to donate.
- Once you receive your Charity Account pack, either set up regular monthly donations
to specific charities or make ad hoc donations whenever you wish.
- Receive a regular statement of your Charity Account, including the current balance,
or review and manage your account online at www.cafonline.org. You will be sent registration
details once you have signed up online.
- There is a 4% administration charge levied by CAF, a not-for-profit organisation,
to cover the costs of the scheme. This is deducted from your account before your
payment is made to your designated charity.
